What kind of a view do you and your family look for when you shop around for a vacation spot?  Most people take this for granted, but in my opinion it's one of the most important factors in any real estate venture, short and long term rentals or even more improtantly...OWNERSHIP.

Ask yourself these questions: 

*Are you a morning person? (Easterly exposure)
*Are you an evening person? (South Westerly exposure)
*Do you like to watch the sunrise or the sunset? (Northern or Southern exposure)
*Do you have a preference to be as close to the water as possible when you wake up? (View the water from the bedroom--maybe from the kitchen) 
*Do you love to watch the snow fall on the tall spruce and pines all around? (Lots of trees all around, more privacy)
*Are you very spiritual? (Bed facing East)

There have been situations where we have gone to do a departure inspection, and the guests renting decided to rearrange the entire dwelling to suit their spiritual needs, preferences for view points, or even meditation requirements.  I always suggest asking questions about the water exposure, how close the dwelling is to the water, the view of the lake and the perspective from each bedroom. Always ask.  We don't mind furniture being moved around, as long as you move it back before the end of the stay.

We are very proud of our South-Westerly Exposure from the dining area, the living room, the campfire site and from the deck.  It is breathtaking.  I recently uploaded a picture that one of our previous guest famlies took while they stayed.  It is incredible with colour.  Moreover, the view from the master bedroom is one of nature with trees and gardens galore.  So you have the best of both worlds.
